Steve Trash Science
Steve Trash Science is a popular science show for kids. It airs on PBS and is available for virtual, remote, and online learning from some of the best online educational content providers in the world.
STEVE TRASH SCIENCE
IS IT… MAGIC OR SCIENCE?
Alabama Public Television and Steve Trash are proud to partner on a national broadcast - kids TV - science series of 30 minute STEAM VIDEOS (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math), called STEVE TRASH SCIENCE.
Currently the first season of STEVE TRASH SCIENCE (10, thirty minute episodes) are broadcast on PBS affiliates ACROSS THE US including in Los Angeles, New York, and New Orleans. We’re also in the regularly scheduled Alabama Public Television kid programming block.
The first season of STS has gotten some truly amazing feedback (see below).
So, we’ve begun work on season two, but we need your help.
APTV takes care of the broadcasting and distribution, but they do not provide production funding.
Please support this amazing show!
- Your contribution is 100% TAX DEDUCTIBLE. Please write check to SHOALS AREA CHAMBER FOUNDATION. Mail check to: Shoals Area Chamber Foundation. (Tax ID: 63-1143838) 20 Hightower Place, Florence, AL 35630. In the memo section write: PRODUCTION PARTNER STEVE TRASH SCIENCE.
- You are helping problem solving kids in America develop a passion for STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Art Math). Understanding STEAM is one of the best ways to grow up to be a truly effective problem solver.
Here’s a 30 second version of Steve Trash Science.
Cool right?
A tax deductible donation of $10K can underwrite the cost of ONE ENTIRE EPISODE – of Steve Trash Science!
Please help us grow tomorrow’s problem solvers out of today’s kids.
There are currently three levels of - STEVE TRASH SCIENCE – on PBS and Alabama Public Television production underwriting.
At each level of underwriting we will be broadcast on Alabama Public Television, on its app, Roku, Chromecast, and Apple TV, once we’ve completed the production process (fund, write, shoot, edit, approval by education partners) and through our partners at NETA (we can be distributed to PBS affiliates across the country).
PLATINUM - 100K = one entire season (10 episodes x 26:47 each) and we begin production immediately. You are our sole underwriter for season two.
GOLD - 50K = underwriting half the season (five episodes x 26:47). We will continue to seek out grants and funding to fully finance season two. But we WILL begin production immediately.
SILVER - 10K = underwriting one episode (26:47). We begin production once we are fully funded. We have many partners working to reach full funding. AUM (Auburn University at Montgomery) is applying for multi-year grants that will fund us for several years, and will allow us to create even MORE online resources than are currently available. Keep Alabama Beautiful has committed to underwriting for season two. We are currently working with our partners from season one; NRCS, Lyons HR, Alabama Soil and Water Conservation, Northwest Alabama RC&D, to support season two as well. Things are looking good!
We have recently partnered with AUM to create interactive content for after school programs, and out of school learning (this is particularly focused on 21CCLC after school programs) based on the STEVE TRASH SCIENCE show.
Steve Trash Science is currently seen on the national PBS website and broadcast by PBS affiliates across the country.
